The gold standard of project management software
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Jira from other similar products?
Jira offers a large suite of features with an easy learning curve, making it very efficient for teams of any skill level (development, sales, strategy, project management) to get in and get productive.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The ability to set up Features and Epics and manage them in different ways, such as through a backlog or kanban view. This ensures that teams stay accountable when projects kick off.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The reporting capabilities could be a bit better to provide more data for various things you may want to report on. Example: I generally use the Sprint report to export data into a spreadsheet, and then use that to calculate my estimated time remaining across epics or tasks in a project. It would be nice to have this sort of reporting out of the box with an easy to export feature.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Set up automations where it makes sense for your project, establish a clear workflow that everyone in your organization agrees to, and be very generous with your use of linked tasks. The more you link work across a project, the easier it is to cross reference things in the future when you're trying to dig up a related conversation from 5 months ago.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing

Jira's project management features are advanced
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Jira from other similar products?
Jira is the ideal solution for managing projects and reporting; it provides a smooth, real-time workflow, and it allows for easy collaboration and connection with enterprise and personal-level third-party software, all of which benefits both businesses and their customers.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Jira is the longest-used piece of software I've ever worked with because it provides me with cutting-edge features and highly customizable content across a wide range of application fields, including but not limited to project and task management, and this has helped us maintain our position as industry leaders for years. The interface is well-thought-out, and features like a control panel and a system for keeping track of tasks make it easy to coordinate with any team inside an organization.
What do you dislike most about this product?
When a ticket from a prior sprint is closed, it is no longer visible in the system unless the ticket number is known. In the event that you are missing tickets, it may be because they were not displayed on the appropriate boards.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Sprint management, ticket prioritization, and interdisciplinary collaboration between groups working on related tickets are all part of this. Provides a record of past efforts in case those efforts are revisited at a later date.
