Fantastic but falls short of composable MACH

What differentiates SAP Commerce Cloud from other similar products?
Plethora of capabilities and features offered to be easily customisable. Vast usage of Spring framework. Minimal learning curve for the java developers with exposure to spring framework.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Catalog Management and Order Management. Have customised these aspects for very complex use cases across multiple project implementations
What do you dislike most about this product?
Content management is not effective when compared to Adobe Experience Management or any latest headless CMS offerings like contentful etc. And Back office customisations very complex and rule engine customisations were hard to debug. Also the upgradation / version migration efforts. For example with some of the MACH commerce vendors like commercetools we get to work with version less always up-to-date APIs. which doesn't need any migration efforts
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Where initial time to market is critical with plethora of features to start without wanting to spend much time rather than future proof architectural setup with Composable MACH that needs reasonable amount of time but offers better availability and reliability and guaranties faster development velocity or features release in the longer run.
Pros
- Caring
- Respectful
- Acts with Integrity
- Trustworthy
Cons
- Slower Product Innovation
- Less Inspiring
- Vendor's Interest First

Commerce solutions for medium and large companies
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates SAP Commerce Cloud from other similar products?
SAP Commerce Cloud offers a wide range of functions with which individual processes can be mapped well. In connection with other modules of the SAP Customer Experience Portfolio, the customer journey can be mapped for both customers and employees. With SAP Commerce Cloud, customers can provide a web store with "one face to the customer", depending on the website, as well as create an individual platform for their customers, where the customer can store their orders, histories, employees, service calls, maintenance and much more can be managed further.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
SAP CC, formerly hybris, is a flagship commerce solution. If the product catalog and the store are to be implemented in 80 countries and different processes, taxes, payment processes, etc., apply everywhere, then the solution is in its sweet spot. From CPQ to multi-market online stores, complex retail solutions are fully mapped from the storefront to the order management process.
What do you dislike most about this product?
SAP Commerce Cloud contains a wealth of functionality in individual editions and is, therefore, one of the most comprehensive commerce solutions.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Companies that are not big enough will not like the tool. I also think B2B is a better fit. This means that the solution is oversized when it comes to the classic D2C fashion store. In the past (in hybris 6), with all booths after HMC (Hybris Management Console), the UI was also a bit complex, but I think it has improved significantly.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
