CloudCodes Introduces Agentless DLP for G Suite Into Its CASB Solution
CloudCodes has added agentless data loss prevention (DLP) features for Google users to its cloud access security broker (CASB) solution, offering greater flexibility for data governance within G Suite and Google Drive.
The new agentless DLP will provide customers with the ability to track and block file sharing, downloading, printing, and even screenshots within Google Drive and G Suite. The move to an agentless model provides greater flexibility to support more devices while also offering enhanced control.

“With the increasing opportunities of data being mishandled, robbed, breached, companies are looking for way to be independent of an agent based security solution that can be turned off via proxy server and may lead to greater possibility of data loss, without any reports. We aim to address this very problem with our agent less DLP,” said Debasish Pramanik, CEO, CloudCodes. “Moreover, this comes at a very affordable price point for G Suite users.”
CloudCodes plans to extend its agentless DLP to other platforms in the future.
Our Take
CloudCodes offers a mature CASB solution, but it remains a fairly niche player in the market. This is primarily due to its focus on Google applications, which itself is a niche player within the enterprise space. However, continuing innovation and cost leadership may make CloudCodes a solution worth considering for new CASB customers.
