Must-have team collaboration software for business
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?
Robust integration with Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Outlook. There are other products with great plug-ins for Outlook, but Teams so cleanly and easily integrates with Outlook since they're made by the same company. And Teams is supported by one of the top software companies in the world, which makes its support top of the line.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
With Teams & Outlook being closely linked together, it's so easy to manage my calendar, meetings, video calls and voice calls. I honestly cannot imagine going back to a time when we didn't have Teams. It's got everything you need to collaborate with your team mates.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I think the Search functionality could really be improved. It works on a pretty basic level, but it's not the most effective and convenient implementation. I'm the type of person that goes back to find conversations often, and I need it to work efficiently. I can typically find what I'm looking for, I just wish Search was more polished.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If your company is a Microsoft shop, or you rely heavily on Office products and team collaboration, then Teams truly is a very good product. It's especially great for any company that has employees who work from home at least part of the time. Teams is reliable and very useful.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity
- Trustworthy

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?
Teams privacy features are very good and it is very secure to do video calls and share screens on Teams calls as there is no risk of data being stolen or any thing being unexpectedly recorded by other members.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The option of choosing when to share your video and audio, which no one else can do for you (unlike Google Meet) is the best thing about Teams.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The default ringing tone and notification sounds for alerts on Teams is very frustrating. Also, for sharing PDFs and Miro Boards, there is no direct option of embedding the file on the screen, unlike Webex. Recording permissions are also very complicated.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would suggest going for a very fast implementation along with parallel training of team members. Also set strict on-call hours for the team to reduce burnout on Teams.
