Eliminate email with easy collaboration
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?
Teams works well when you already use the Microsoft suite. It combines very effective collaboration and document creation through messaging and team threaded discussions.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The quick messaging's integration with other microsoft products is probably my favorite piece. This has allowed large teams of people who may not always be willing to adopt new technology to essentially eliminate email and increased cloud-based collaboration. As a result our communication and efficiency have significantly improved.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The web-call features leave something to be desired in terms of reliability and stability when more than 2-3 participants are on the call. Additionally, the user interface takes a bit of learning, especially for those not as familiar with Microsoft products.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Especially if your institution already employs the Microsoft suite in some way or another, you'll find Teams an excellent way to draw together all of those products and equip employees as individuals or teams for meaningful collaboration - especially where varied types of collaboration or communication might be required. Teams is flexible enough to fit various use cases, likely more so than competitors like Basecamp.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity
- Saves Time
Cons
- Less Efficient Service
- Vendor Friendly Policies

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?
Microsoft teams is a great messaging product in the Office 365 suite. It has a wide breadth of features that increase productivity across the organization. If your organization already has Microsoft 365, you do not need to pay extra for using Teams, which is very economical! Sharing and collaborating files is also super easy and smooth on Teams.
