About Christopher Goodhue

Chris Goodhue has over 30 years of experience in the IT Research and Advisory Services industry and has served in a variety of executive leadership and individual contributor roles.

Chris started his career in the IT industry in the early 1990s as an analyst at Gartner covering end-user computing. He was a frequently requested speaker and advisor and was promoted to research team leader before eventually taking on a CIO Program Director position with Gartner Executive Programs (EXP). During his early tenure with EXP, Chris was instrumental in building high-value relationships with CIOs and helping the Gartner sales organization double the size of the New England membership over three years while enhancing service delivery and client retention. Chris was subsequently promoted into EXP leadership roles and served as Managing Vice President for EXP in the Americas before deciding to leave Gartner in 2005.

After a year working for a boutique executive search firm, Chris was recruited to AMR Research in Boston to lead a seasoned team of analysts covering supply chain technology. Following his AMR experience, Chris landed back at Gartner where he led the Technology Infrastructure Research Board – a highly engaged community of CTOs, global heads of I&O, and chief architects from Gartner’s largest client companies (revenues >$10B). During his eight-year tenure at Research Board, Chris built enduring C-level relationships, architected and chaired dozens of high-impact community meetings, and was co-lead on major research studies investigating cloud, agility, security, architecture, emerging tech, etc.

Prior to joining Info-Tech Research Group, Chris was VP of CIO Strategy & Executive Advisory Services at IDC where he led efforts to help IDC amplify its value proposition for CIOs and senior IT leaders.

Chris has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology with a concentration in Music History from Middlebury College. He lives in the White Mountains of New Hampshire with his wife Celeste, two canines, and a feline. He is the proud father of three sons and is an avid cyclist, skier, and musician.
